About Us
Atomic Projects is a high-performance remedial construction company, delivering quality and precision on every job. We’re built around teamwork, ownership, and pride in execution. We don't settle for "good enough" — we work like a championship team every day.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Site Engineer to join our operations team. As a Site Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines of delivering quality remedial work across Sydney, ensuring our projects are programmed, coordinated, and executed to the highest standards.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on structure, communication, and making things happen before problems arise.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and subcontractors — with clear North Star principles guiding how you win the day.
Your North Stars
1. Programming & Schedule
Always know this week, next week, and the week after.
Update the schedule daily, ensuring trades are sequenced correctly.
Push long-lead items early to avoid delays.
Protect time and money through clear, realistic programming.
2. Subcontractor Management
Confirm scope, inclusions, exclusions before they step on-site.
Set clear expectations around start times, sequencing, and deliverables.
Track attendance, performance, and progress weekly.
Resolve issues firmly but respectfully, keeping momentum on your side.
3. Communication
Run weekly coordination meetings with clear actions and owners.
Use checklists and reports to document key steps and decisions.
Update clients and consultants before they ask.
Communicate risks, changes, or delays early — not after the fact.
Always confirm and clarify instructions in writing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager in site setup, programming, and day-to-day management.
Interpret plans, scopes, ITPs, and specifications.
Coordinate trades and subcontractors across daily and weekly targets.
Conduct quality checks and site inspections.
Manage documentation including RFIs, ITPs, checklists, and progress reports.
Liaise with consultants, engineers, and suppliers.
Drive safety compliance and site cleanliness alongside supervisors.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years experience as a Graduate, Site Engineer, or Project Coordinator (remedial preferred but not required).
Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills.
Proactive communicator who solves problems early.
Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, spreadsheets).
Full Australian working rights.
Driver’s licence required.
Why Join Atomic Projects?
Join a team that moves fast, thinks smart, and values your input.
Clear systems, leadership, and processes so you can succeed.
Career progression into Project Management roles as you grow.
Competitive salary package based on experience.
Tools, support, and training to raise your game every day.
