Provide advice and operational management for research funding strategies and ethics and integrity compliance at CDU

About the Position
As the Associate Director, Research Funding Strategy and Compliance, you will provide high level strategic advice and operational management support to the Director Research and Innovation and all levels of academic and professional staff in relation to the University research funding strategies and ethics and integrity compliance.

Providing strong leadership and mentoring to the Research Grants team you will foster an environment of pro-active support and development for the research interests of the University. Leading the provision of best-practice support and advice for researchers preparing grant applications and undertaking funded research, and actively look for business improvement opportunities

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent, with a strong background in research funding, ethics, strategy, compliance, and contract management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the tertiary education policy framework and research funding landscape in Australia.
• High-level coordination, project management and time management skills, with experience managing complex, multidisciplinary funding proposals, ethics compliance, and contract negotiation.
• Extensive management experience and leadership skills and proven ability to successfully manage diverse operations in a higher education or similar environment negotiate, motivate, influence and build relationships with academic and professional staff of all levels.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining an efficient and effective client service delivery model and a collaborative team environment.
• Financial acumen in research budget management and an understanding of research funding, ethics, and contract compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify opportunities in research funding, ethics, and innovation that align with university goals.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 10. The base salary will be in the range of $128,903 to $143,061 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $150,816 to $167,381 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
