Dizza Communications is a leading turnkey provider of Australian telecommunications contracting services throughout Australia. It was established with the key focus of ensuring we consistently deliver a prompt, cost-effective service for our clients while never compromising on safety.

We have a vacancy for a Casual Yard and Parts Assistant that is available five days per week. Whilst this role will start off as a casual position, it will eventually move to permanent fulltime. No experience is required for this role but you must be proactive, energetic, keen to do well and want to work. The successful candidate will have a MANUAL Driver's Licence. This role would suit someone new to the workforce and looking to get a start in this industry.

The role will assist with the ordering and collection of all parts required for the business including the transportation of tools and equipment to site.

Key Responsibilities

To assist with the ordering and collection of all parts required

To receive, inspect and store incoming construction materials, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation

To assist with regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records

Assisting with the organisation and maintenance of the yard and keeping this clean and tidy

To collect and transport anything required between the yard, suppliers and work sites

To load and unload any parts and equipment safely using a forklift or the correct manual handling techniques

To help ensure all loads are secured properly complying with safety standards and road regulations

Key Skills and Experience Required

No experience is necessary as training will be provided

Good problem solving skills with the ability to use your own initiative

A basic understanding of health and safety would be beneficial

Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite would be helpful

Strong technical and computer skills

Must be able to work without supervision once trained

Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently

General Administration experience beneficial

Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Proven ability to multi-task with strong time management and the ability to manage competing demands.

A positive and proactive attitude, solid work ethic and a passion for customer service.

MANUAL Driver’s Licence essential

Forklift ticket desirable

White Card desirable

Must be physically fit and healthy to carry out the demands of the role
