About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team within a caring aged care environment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations to ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and welcoming for our residents, staff and visitors. You will coordinate and supervise a team of cleaners, uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control, manage supplies, and contribute to maintaining a comfortable and supportive living environment for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a sensitive and respectful manner.
This is a Full Time role working 38 Hours -Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.
You will:
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, kitchens and bathrooms
- Lead and support a team of cleaning staff, provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback
- Liaise with facility management and care staff to respond to special cleaning requests, urgent needs, or infection outbreaks
- Ensure that all areas of the residence are kept hygienic and presentable
- Contribute to a comfortable, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, incidents, and staff training
- Cleaning in line with all chemical and infection control requirements and accreditation standards
- Ensuring resident privacy and dignity is always maintained
- Identify and report maintenance issues for our residents, ensuring they are escalated in a timely manner
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, you also:
- Previous supervisory experience in a cleaning, housekeeping or facilities management role is essential
- Strong knowledge of cleaning practices, products, and equipment, including safe chemical handling and OH&S standards
- Experience managing a team, including training and performance management
- Demonstrate a high level of kindness and respect for residents’ property and privacy
- A strong understanding of infection control procedures
- Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision as required and as part of a team
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
