The Opportunity

As Icon Water continues its digital transformation, this role offers the chance to shape how software is delivered across the business. You'll play a central role in ensuring releases are smooth, tested thoroughly, and aligned with organisational priorities.
In this permanent ongoing leadership position, you will:

• Take ownership of the digital release and testing lifecycle, ensuring quality outcomes from planning through to deployment

• Lead cross-functional coordination between development, testing, operations (including operational technology), and business teams to maintain reliable and secure digital environments

• Drive continuous improvement, introducing smarter release and test processes while mentoring team members and fostering collaboration

The Role

In this key position, you’ll take ownership of both release and test management, working across multiple streams and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software in a complex environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Release Management: Plan, coordinate and manage end-to-end release activities, ensuring releases are delivered on time, well-communicated, and with minimal disruption to the business

• Cross-Team Coordination: Bring together development, testing, operations, and business teams to align priorities, identify risks, and maintain visibility and momentum throughout each release cycle

• Test Management: Oversee the planning and execution of functional, integration, performance, regression, and security testing, leading defect management to support stable, high-quality software

• Team Leadership: Motivate and support your team and stakeholders through collaborative leadership, clear communication, and a focus on continuous improvement

The Ideal Person

You are a Senior Test Analyst or Test Lead with more than 5 years of experience managing software releases and testing within complex, integrated environments, and over 2 years’ experience leading teams.

You will have expertise in both manual and automated testing and release management practices in Agile and DevOps methodologies.

As a proactive communicator and analytical thinker, you will have led cross-functional teams, balancing continuous improvement initiatives with rigorous risk management.

Salary / Rate

The salary band starts at $140,798 + 15% Super.
