Before we get into things,

What we need from you:

• A Forklift Licence is essential
• Confidence & Experience operating a 10T-12T Forklift (experience picking up irregularly shaped objects would be a big advantage)
• Machine Operating / CNC experience is highly desirable
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug / Alcohol Test & Physical Assessment
• Willingness to undergo a Police Check

The Details:

• Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
• Night Shift: 10:30pm - 7:00am
• Duration:Minimum 6-month assignment with the potential to extend
• Pay Rate: $40 p/h + Super (plus shift loading)

Now that we’ve got that out of the way…

Your role?

You’ll be trained across multiple sections of the business, whether it be operating machinery (saws, peelers, CNC cutters), working with the forge or operating the Forklift, there will never be a dull moment.

The Forklift is an 11-12T Forklift with a Clamping Grabber attachment, you’ll be using this to pick up red-hot materials from a 1000°C Forge.

When working with the forge, every second counts, there is only a limited time from pickup to press so you need to be able to maintain focus and remain attentive.

So, it goes without saying you need to be able to operate a forklift like it's nobody's business.

Working with fire, and within a manufacturing facility like this, means safety is a TOP priority.

They have specialised equipment, PPE, regulations and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety is maintained at all times. If this isn’t respected, you’ll be shown the door.
