Strathnairn School, a new public school in the vibrant Ginninderry region, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Principal to join our founding leadership team. Set to open in 2026, our school will serve up to 780 students from Preschool to Year 6, along with an Early Childhood Education & Care service for 130 children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Principal to shape and implement the school's strategic vision and operations.
- Lead the development and embedding of the school vision, strategy, and culture.
- Recruit and build a high-performing team of educators.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity.
- Engage with the community to develop school values, policies, and processes.
- Champion early intervention and a community-based model of education.

Eligibility/other requirements:
- Prior to commencing in this role, a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) and
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP). Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
