About the Role

South32 together with WorkPac are commencing recruitment for Dump Truck Operators to promote the equality of its workforce at Groote Eylandt Mining Company (GEMCO) in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Successful candidates will be FIFO from Darwin or Cairns on a 7/7 Roster and be fully committed to a rewarding career in the Mining industry.

What you will be doing

As a member of the GEMCO Production team, you will be operating CAT 777/ 785 Dump Trucks in a mining environment.

You will work 12.25hr shifts on a 7/7 roster (7 on, 7 off) and work both Day and Night shifts and be committed to secure employment.

Meet KPI targets within the Manganese Ore production environment

Apply an ongoing commitment to safety and positive onsite culture

What you will need

12 months production mining experience operating CAT 777 or 789 Dump Trucks

A residential address within 1hr of Cairns or Darwin

A current Open Class Drivers Licence (manual)

A strong work history demonstrating a commitment to a current or previous employer

A team player with a positive attitude towards safety processes and procedures

Effective communication skills

The ability to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol screening
