About the role
This is a full-time Remote Area Nurse role based in the Big Rivers region, offering rewarding work within the Sunrise Health Services Aboriginal Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary healthcare services to remote Indigenous communities across the region.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering primary healthcare services, including acute care, chronic disease management, and health promotion, to remote Indigenous communities
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and provide holistic patient care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Participating in community engagement activities and supporting health education initiatives
  • Providing on-call emergency response as needed

Mandatory Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification and current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a remote community healthcare setting and/or emergency, preferably with Indigenous health services with MEC/REC/ALS certification
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse communities
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally safe and responsive healthcare
  • Willingness to travel to remote communities and work flexible hours as required
