About us:
Community Services #1 is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people and families in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions. With over 200 employees and volunteers, we deliver programs that address community needs and foster a sense of belonging.

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee to join our Narrabundah Cottage. At Narrabundah Cottage, we cater children 6 weeks to 2 years and provide secure nurturing environment catering to individual needs of babies and families.
The Traineeship Program will allow you to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care whilst in paid employment and gaining experience in a supportive environment.
We offer full time traineeships for school leavers who may be looking to start their career in early education. This is also a great opportunity for those looking for a career change or hoping to return to work.
About the role:
Trainee
To create a safe, stimulating and caring environment, which respects all participants
To ensure that individual children’s needs are met and that they are given care, attention and comfort as required
To ensure that effective open communication is developed and maintained with all parents
To work through the Certificate III as outlined in the Study Plan
About you:
Committed to supporting children’s learning and confidence through engaging activities
A commitment to study and learning through experience
Ability to build strong connections with children, families and team
Hold a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People card (or willingness to obtain)
Available to work Full time and is flexible
National Police Check
No prior experience is necessary, just a love for wanting to work with children
There are entry requirements you will need to meet to be eligible to do traineeship.
