Electrician – Generator Technicians.
$65.00 per hour flat rate, plus Superannuation on every hour, Weekly pay.
Full time - Temp to Perm Opportunity.
Welshpool workshop role.
Immediate start and ongoing work. This position will start under Labour Hire during an initial probationary period, with high potential for a permanent placement with the host company for the right candidates.
Our client is a leading company who specialises in sustainable power generation equipment who are looking for experienced Electricians with a background in Generators mainly, to join their team to help grow and develop their Projects business.
Based in Welshpool WA, we have positions available for the right candidates living locally, ideally within 45 minutes of the workshop. Your duties in the workshop will encompass performing in-house repairs, upgrades and pre-delivery inspections on Generators with minimal supervision. Normal of hours of work are 8 hours per day, starting at either 6am or 7am, Monday to Friday.
The main equipment you will work on is multiple different generator systems, you need to be able to diagnose machine faults, basic filter servicing and have controller wiring experience.
Your basic day to day tasks are: commissioning generators which includes - internal wiring of generator feed to outlets, fitting outlets to external generator, fitting isolators/solar/beacons to generators, test and tagging & load bank testing of generators, making up leads from a lengths of cable and fitting plugs to each end and excitingly working on R&D projects for renewable products, mainly lithium batteries and solar currently. Experience with commissioning/installing, programming and or diagnosing generator controllers such as ComAp, Deep Sea etc is highly desirable.
These are specialised roles; We are looking for Electricians who are capable to fulfil the duties of this role with minimal training. This is a long-term placement measured in years, not months, with the opportunity for career progression within the Electrical industry.
The Essentials:
Qualified Electrical certification with a current WA Electrical work licence.
Background in working with power generation plant and equipment.
Experience in solar and battery systems.
The proven ability to work unsupervised.
Intermediate computer skills.
Up fit of electrical equipment to new generator.
Effective time management skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
The Requirements:
Current WA driver's licence is essential.
Current CPR/LVR.
Maintain detailed records of work undertaken via company operating system.
Ensure the cleanliness of the workshop is at the desired standard.
Carry out workshop duties and repairs as required to support workload.
