St Marys Community Health Centre and Tasmania’s North-East:
St Marys is nestled in the Fingal Valley in Tasmania’s North-East, approximately 90 minutes' drive from Launceston, and just 10 minutes from the vast and unspoilt beaches of the beautiful East Coast. St Marys is within easy reach of several National Parks and world class mountain bike trails.
St Marys Community Health Centre has an emergency room and 8 inpatient beds. The centre offers emergency, sub-acute and palliative care and a range of community and outpatient services which include community nursing, home help, an adult day centre, physiotherapy, social work, and child health. Other allied health services visit regularly. The Tasmanian Lymphedema Centre is also based at the facility. Medical services are provided in conjunction with our co-located GP practice operated by our friends at Ochre Health.
Our team works closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
The Community Nurse provides safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with clients, their families and other health professionals and is supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, clinical educators and clinical nurse consultants and allied health professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, Commencing from 26 May 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Regional Allowances
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Current Driver’s Licence
