· Must have minimum 2 years of post-admission experience in criminal law

The role:

Required Skills and attributes:

You will:

- have experience with criminal law matters concerning taking instructions from clients and briefing and instructing Counsel for County Court and Supreme Court trials, preparing and appearing for court hearings, including bail applications, pleas (summary and indictable), and Magistrates’ and County Court appearances;

- comprehensive knowledge of Victorian criminal law and procedure.

- have experience with LEAP software (preferable but not essential).

- be able to manage criminal law files autonomously.

- have excellent communication skills.

- be personable and self-motivated

- be resilient, independent, committed and trustworthy.

- be hard working.

- be able to work collaboratively and harmoniously within a team to complete tasks.

- have a valid full driver’s licence and your own car to travel to various court locations.

-be required to work from city office unless appearing at suburban or regional courts.

Full-time, Permanent

Annual Salary: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 (dependent upon level of experience)
