Restoration Response Australia Is seeking a Restoration Technician due to ongoing growth in the sector.

The Restoration Technician is responsible for all aspects of property restoration including damage management of commercial and residential properties. These duties include, but may not be limited to, providing insurance and non-insurance related services for water and storm, mould remediation, fire and smoke and structural drying.
In this role, you will be required to service our clients properties which have been damaged by circumstances such as; fire, water damage, mould. Duties will include initial site assessment, make safe clean up, restoration of carpets, and other building contents onsite, as well as cataloguing and transporting items when onsite restoration is not possible.
Due to the nature of this work a 24/7 approach is required. Major weather events often lead to major insurable events. Hence occasionally extra hours, at short notice, are required to travel throughout Australia to assist with completing this work.
This role will involve working a rotating roster for afterhours and weekend work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assessing, evaluating and scoping commercial and domestic losses to determine how best to perform restoration works
- Act in a professional manner whilst on site and in the office
- Prepare and present damage, inspection and inventory lists, reports for insurers
- Performing restoration and drying in commercial and domestic insurance claims
- Working with loss adjusters, brokers and consultants to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.
- Ensuring safe work practices are applied and WHS standards are maintained
- Meeting KPI’s for restoration cycle times and customer satisfaction
- Provide management with regular updates of job progress
- Promote Restoration Response in a professional manner to Insurers, Property Owners and Sub-Contractors
- Work a rotating on-call afterhours roster

- IICRC Qualifications, trade or industry experience
- Honest, reliable & trustworthy personality
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
- Detail orientated
- Great communication skills to liaise with our Builders and clients
- High level of computer literacy
- Successful Applicants must hold a current manual Drivers License, be prepared to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card and WHS construction industry white card.
