My client is a cutting-edge technology company that provides a feature-rich and scalable management platform for companies to run their own in-house performance programs. Their platform is designed to meet the growing demands of their clients, with powerful custom reporting modules, real-time click tracking, and detailed statistics that they love to work with.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and scalability of their platform, as well as implementing change management plans to minimize risk when working with servers. The company has the appetite to go on a cloud firstdevops journey and are looking for someone who will play a pivotal role in this journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the architecture of the platform to ensure high uptime and scalability
• Develop and implement change management plans to minimize risk when working with servers
• Work with Unix-based systems, including NixOS (Gen 2)
• Manage and optimize AWS resources, including RDS and EC2 instances
• Introduce containerization to help the company on their devops journey
• Automate monitoring and alarms to ensure prompt detection and resolution of issues
• Implement automation scripts to auto-deploy their product
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of new features and updates.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems / Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Unix-based systems and cloud first infrastructure (AWS)
• Strong understanding of production service concepts and high uptime service requirements
• Experience with change management plans and minimizing risk when working with servers
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux, preferably including NixOS
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including RDS and EC2 instances
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Work Arrangements:

• Full-time position, with 1 day per week working from home
• Must be available to work on-site at our office for the remaining 4 days per week
