The Opportunity
As we expand our services and continue to grow, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our friendly and professional team.
This permanent part-time position (35 hours/week) is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and fun-loving educator to take on a leadership role while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.
Hours:
Before School Care: 6:30am – 9:00am
After School Care: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
Vacation Care: 6:30am – 6:00pm (as per roster)
Management Meetings: Mondays 9:30am – 11:30am
Key Responsibilities
Perform as Responsible Person on site
Act as Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor as required
Lead and mentor a team of educators
Design and implement engaging, play-based programs aligned with MTOP
Foster strong relationships with families, children, staff, schools, and the community
Oversee admin tasks including enrolments and office management
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
Support the development and implementation of our service’s Vision, Mission & Values
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Minimum Diploma in OOSH or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or actively working towards)
Current Working with Children Check
First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates
Knowledge of Child Protection legislation
Experience with children aged 4–13
Strong understanding of the NQS and MTOP Framework
Current Driver’s Licence
Excellent written and verbal communication
Passion for inclusive, developmental, and child-led learning
Leadership and mentoring skills
Desirable:
Experience using OWNA
LR Driver’s Licence
Previous Educational Leader experience
