Are you an exceptional stakeholder manager?
Do you have a deep understanding of the management of Commonwealth grant funding agreements?
Are you a skilled writer within a public sector setting – confident with briefing senior executives?
If you are nodding madly – then we have your next contract opportunity!
We are looking for skilled contract managers to join one of our favourite public sector clients at the APS 6 level for a long-term engagement. The role of Contract Manager joins a larger team who are all working together to achieve the organisational goal of supporting renewable energy innovation through grant funding and knowledge sharing.
What will you do?
Working with skilled and experienced leaders, you can be expected to juggle a wide variety of contract management tasks that will include managing competing deadlines, navigating (at times) complex contract negotiations, ensuring contract compliance and keeping abreast of any risks that may arise through the life of the contract.
With your stellar interpersonal skills in play, you manage your stakeholders in a way that instils confidence in both your grant recipients and your senior executive. You have a well-developed ability to critically analyse and solve problems as they arise; and your ability to write confidently within an APS setting sees you able to justify your position with ease.
What do you bring?
First and foremost – this is a role within a Commonwealth entity so you will need to be an Australian citizen with a current police check to apply. No need for a security clearance though!
The trifecta of experience managing public sector grant funding contracts, confidence in writing for a public sector audience and stakeholder engagement. These are non-negotiable; while there is a strong induction program to bring you up to speed on the nuances of contract management in your new environment, there will be assumed prior knowledge across these areas.
In addition, you are able to understand the contracts you oversee on both a strategic and operational level – which enables you to continually gather deeper insights and trends to share with both internal and external stakeholders.
Finally, your team work across the full spectrum of renewable technologies. This means you will need to quickly adapt to technical content, so any prior exposure to renewable energy, engineering or scientific R&D would be highly regarded.
What you get?
A supportive environment committed to your ongoing growth and development.
Long-term labour hire contract through to 30 June 2026.
An hourly rate of between $60 - $65 per hour plus super, weekly pay cycle and the ease of having one point of contact within Elliott Gray to answer all your questions.
Ability to directly contribute to the global transition to net-zero emissions.
Option to work in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid set-up to support you working from home.
This is your chance to join a great team. Please apply today to be considered, applications will be processed as they come in, interviews with the client will commence early May. For more information please contact [email protected]
