Gold Coast Care Services is a locally owned and operated provider offering high-quality support services to individuals living with disabilities and older Australians across the Gold Coast region. With a strong focus on dignity, respect, and person-centred care, we are expanding our clinical team and are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in both disability and aged care, and the ability to support and guide frontline staff.
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse who not only excels in clinical care but is also capable of providing leadership and mentoring to care teams. You’ll play a key role in supporting our clients’ health needs while guiding support workers and ensuring best-practice service delivery in line with NDIS and Aged Care Quality Standards.
This is a dynamic, community-based role involving in-home and facility visits across the Gold Coast, offering you flexibility, autonomy, and variety in your day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver holistic nursing care to clients with complex needs in aged and disability care settings
Conduct clinical assessments, administer medications, manage wound care, and monitor health outcomes
Collaborate with clients, families, GPs, allied health, and internal teams to ensure coordinated care
Provide clinical leadership to support staff, including mentoring, supervision, and competency assessments
Assist with onboarding and training of new care staff in clinical best practices
Ensure compliance with care plans, policies, and legislative frameworks (NDIS, Aged Care Quality Standards)
Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting standards
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years’ experience in community nursing, aged care, or disability services
Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising support staff (e.g. team leader, mentor, or shift coordinator)
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Commitment to person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (travel reimbursed)
NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, and up-to-date vaccinations (including COVID-19)
Current CPR and First Aid certification
