Family Services Australia are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health & Wellbeing Pracitioner such as a Psychologist, Social Worker (AASW registered) or Counsellor.

The Health & Wellbeing Pracitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality health and wellbeing services to individuals & families, across communities within Lowood, Somerset & Lockyer. Duties for this role will include psychological therapies and counselling; psychometric testing and assessment; brief interventions; intake assessment; and group therapies. Service delivery may include both in-person and telehealth supports, with consumers across the lifespan accessing FSA Health & Wellbeing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, risks, and strengths.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and counselling to clients.
  • Manage client appointments and ensure efficient scheduling.
  • Achieve desired client outcomes, as measured by client feedback and outcome measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, community members, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures.
  • Meet individual and team performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), including maintenance of minimum caseload requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Allied health services or behavioural services
  • Social Work
  • Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Other allied health qualifications
  • Qualified psychologist who is currently registered as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or a qualified allied health professional who has a degree or graduate diploma relevant to the services they are delivering in either:
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality and evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention via face-to-face and telehealth service delivery.
  • Experience working from a trauma-informed framework and ensuring a high standard of care, quality assurance, and risk management for all clients.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage a caseload with varied and complex presentations.
  • Strong clinical formulation skills and flexibility in delivery of interventions to meet the dynamic nature of intervention.
  • Demonstrated capacity to implement principles of reflective practice and self-care within a team.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated capacity for proactive liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Current Working with Children Check number.
  • Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
