About the role:

In this role as a Mobility Infrastructure Engineer within the Stores Infrastructure Engineering (SIE) team, you'll play a key part in developing, deploying, and supporting mobile technology solutions, particularly with rugged devices. You'll help improve service efficiency, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen the reliability and security of systems across the store network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mobile Solution Architecture: Design and deliver end-to-end mobile infrastructure solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
• Platform Proficiency: Leverage strong expertise in Android and Workspace One (Airwatch) for mobile device deployment and management.
• Automation & Scripting: Build and maintain automation scripts to streamline the deployment of operating systems, apps, and device configurations.
• Vendor Collaboration: Partner with external vendors and service providers to scale and implement mobile solutions effectively.
• Wireless Tech Awareness: Apply sound knowledge of wireless networking fundamentals to support mobile connectivity needs.
• Process Documentation: Develop clear and detailed technical documentation and SOPs for mobile systems and workflows.
• Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve advanced technical issues through detailed analysis and root cause identification.
• Innovation & R&D: Lead Proof of Concept efforts to test and adopt new mobile technologies.
• Change Coordination: Manage system changes in alignment with ITIL processes and governance standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure consistent and transparent communication with key business and technical stakeholders.

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in engineering, solution design, or technical development roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android platforms and device management using Workspace One (Airwatch).
• Proven ability to write scripts and develop code to support automation and deployment tasks.
• Background in designing and supporting mobile infrastructure and related services.
• Solid foundational knowledge of wireless networking concepts and best practices.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with mobile device management platforms such as Workspace One (Airwatch).
• Proficiency in Android OS and related tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk or equivalent alternatives.
• Understanding of ITIL practices and experience working in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and infrastructure.
