Building Industry Training Pty Ltd RTO#40785 is a growing leader in their field and operating RTO, servicing clients including over a thousand apprentices/trainees throughout Queensland. Due to continual growth, we are seeking experienced Concreter to deliver training to students on-site Full-Time (PART-TIME CONSIDERED)

The role will involve:

Working with apprentices/trainees to assist in improving their skills and knowledge.

Tutoring apprentices from a range of theoretical work.

Assisting the RTO to maintain currency of all training and assessment materials.

Marketing the RTO to potential clients and arranging training programs.

General paperwork in relation to documenting training and assessments.

Providing practical training for students on a range of topics.

Development of new training and assessment resources.

Performing RPL assessments.

Entry Requirements

Although there are minimum qualification requirements, we place significant emphasis on trade knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, honesty and the ability to independently follow predetermined procedures as they lead to greater long term success in this role.

For applicants to be considered, they must:

Hold qualifications in any outlined trade and/or other relevant trades to the level being delivered on our scope (or be able to immediately upgrade to the level on scope).

Holds OR be prepared to immediately obtain the latest qualification in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Hold current industry skills and experience.

Hold a current White Card

Be prepared to maintain currency of skills.

Have a blue card (positive notice for child related employment) or be eligible to obtain.

A current Driver’s Licence with no risk of loss.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Hold good mathematical skills as related to the trade.

Be able bodied (able to perform practical demonstrations within the trade and access areas on construction sites) and be well presented.

Be able to plan, organise and manage one’s own caseload of apprentices.

Hold or be prepared to obtain a National Police Check

Other considerations that are held in high regard:

Current industry contractor's licence or evidence of operating as a contractor.

Previous experience as a trainer.

Previous experience in marketing.

Previous experience in developing training materials.

Multiple trade qualifications/experience or advanced qualifications in the construction sector such as a secondary relevant trade.

A confident, calm and patient nature with an outgoing personality.

Strong interpersonal skills and a team player with the ability to follow company directives.

Travel will be required in this role as the successful applicant will be working away from the head office on building sites throughout predominantly South-East QLD independently with some travel to other areas in QLD. Travel can range from Toowoomba to the Gold Coast and Roma and Bundaberg.
