A leading Queensland State Government Department is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team to support high-quality estimates and tender documentation for a wide range of building projects across SEQ.

About the Role

As a Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in the planning and delivery of building projects across various government and commercial sectors. This is a detail-oriented and administration-heavy position, ideally suited for someone with strong computer skills and experience with contracts or tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality estimates and quotation documentation that comply with the State Purchasing Policy, Minor Works guidelines, and client-specific requirements.
• Conduct research and development in project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming, delivery processes, and procurement strategies.
• Provide clear and concise reporting on estimating projects and programs, including data on requests, client profiles, costings, margins, and productivity.
• Promote and maintain a safe and equitable working environment, ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety and HR policies.
• Foster strong client relationships through professional communication, effective negotiation, and timely delivery of competitive estimates.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in computer systems and administration - someone tech savvy!
• Prior experience with contract management or tendering processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team environment.
• A proactive and professional approach to client engagement and project delivery.
