Job Description
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a highly skilled and driven Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you’ll have 5+ years’ experience working on large scale projects. You’ll bridge the gap between business needs and software development by working across a key project about to commence, to define requirements, engage stakeholders, and help deliver a large-scale program of work.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements on a large-scale company-wide program of work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, SMEs, and product owners.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and other elicitation techniques to understand business needs.
- Deliver high-quality documentation, user stories, and process maps to ensure project clarity and success.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations, align goals, and track benefits.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Assist with business case development, project scoping, and post-implementation reviews.
Qualifications
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst with 5+ years’ experience where you excel in the following.
- Strong background in business and systems analysis within software development projects.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, including facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Excellent understanding of Agile and/or traditional project delivery methods.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting business processes, workflows, and solution requirements.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for translating technical speak into business language.
- A proactive mindset and a passion for driving change and improvement.
Qualifications and Approach
We are looking for someone with the following behavioural and technical skills:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in large scale project development and delivery environments.
- Proven experience in business analysis, software testing, or development environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
- Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering engagement and support for business objectives.
- Uses clear and compelling communication to influence stakeholders and ensure alignment.
- Highly experienced in business analysis tools and techniques such as process mapping and requirements gathering (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucid chart, Visio and the MS suite).
- Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex business and technical issues.
- Maintains a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance the business analysis processes.
