Metro Signs Pty Ltd | Epping, VIC | Manufacturing, Production & Trades
Are you an experienced sign fabricator looking to join a high-performing team?
Or a motivated individual ready to learn a hands-on trade in a fast-growing industry?
At Metro Signs, we’ve been designing and manufacturing high-quality signage for over 30 years. From illuminated pylons to intricate architectural signage, we deliver bold and innovative solutions for clients across Australia.
We’re currently expanding our production team and are open to applications from both experienced fabricators and apprentices looking to build a rewarding career in signage manufacturing.
About the Role
As a Sign Fabricator, you’ll be involved in the end-to-end production of a wide variety of signage solutions. Working with materials such as aluminium, acrylic, and steel, you’ll be hands-on with general assembly, custom fabrication, and signage preparation using a range of tools and equipment.
Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:
· General signage assembly and fabrication
· Measuring, cutting, and shaping signage materials
· Reading and interpreting drawings and job specifications
· Operating workshop tools and machinery (e.g. drills, grinders, saws, rivet guns)
· Assisting with LED wiring and internal structures for illuminated signage
· Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
· Supporting other areas of the production process as needed
About You
We’re open to applications from individuals at all stages of their career – whether you’re a seasoned fabricator or someone who’s eager to kickstart a trade career through an apprenticeship in the signage industry.
If you have experience:
You may already be working in signage or a related manufacturing trade, with hands-on skills and a strong understanding of fabrication, assembly, and workshop operations. You take pride in your work, can read technical drawings, operate tools with confidence, and enjoy bringing complex projects to life with precision and care.
If you’re just starting out:
You might be looking to get your foot in the door and learn a trade that combines technical skill, creativity, and variety. You don’t need prior industry experience – just a genuine interest in building things with your hands, a willingness to learn, and the right attitude. We’ll provide the training, mentorship, and real-world experience to help you grow into a qualified Sign Fabricator.
Whether you're transitioning from another trade, coming from a pre-apprenticeship program, or simply looking for a long-term career path in a specialised and growing industry – we want to hear from you.
You’ll thrive in our team if you are:
Mechanically minded and enjoy working with your hands
Comfortable using or learning to use tools and workshop equipment
Focused on producing quality outcomes with attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
A team player who enjoys contributing to shared goals
Curious and open to learning new skills across multiple disciplines
