About the role
An Electronic Monitoring Officer operates as part of the electronic monitoring team with responsibility for electronic monitoring and global positioning system tracking of adult offenders and/or defendants in the community. The electronic monitoring team operate on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis and therefore the role undertakes a shift work roster.
This includes tracking and electronic monitoring of particular high-risk offenders subject to the supervision of Department of Justice and identifying and responding appropriately to risk arising from the monitoring and tracking of offenders including appropriate liaison with the relevant personnel as required.
