Talent Advisory is proud to again partner with Tranex Solar, Australia’s most trusted solar farm construction contractor, to recruit a Project Manager for their national utility-scale solar projects.

This role is a FIFO position, with fixed offices in both Tasmania and Melbourne; candidates are accepted from across Australia and will be engaged on a 21/7 roster — with a base salary of up to $180,000, plus LAHA, site uplift, and performance-based bonus.

About the Role

You'll be leading national solar farm projects from construction to commissioning. It’s a senior operational role with full accountability for site delivery, performance, and safety — backed by a strong leadership and support team.

You’ll manage a team of up to 50+, including HSE, Quality, and Construction Managers, and take responsibility for everything from scheduling and reporting through to subcontractor performance and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

Daily management of large-scale solar construction projects

Leading and developing onsite teams and subcontractors

Project reporting, cost tracking and forecasting

Ensuring program and budget targets are met (or beaten)

Running site meetings, client updates and reporting to the executive team

Overseeing site safety, risk, and compliance standards

Travel to site on a 21/7 FIFO roster (project locations vary)

About You

We’re looking for someone structured, hands-on, and calm under pressure — someone who knows how to lead from the front and build a high-performing team.

Strong project management experience in construction or renewables

Confident leading teams of 50+ staff

A sharp focus on safety, performance, and commercial results

High emotional intelligence — able to read people and resolve conflict effectively

Experience managing financial outcomes on major projects

Able to use project tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel) with confidence

Fit, field-ready, and up for the challenge

Project management qualifications, Cert IV WHS, and First Aid are desirable but not essential.
