About the role

The key objective for these positions is to maintain clean, safe, and presentable towns, parks, and public areas through gardening, cleaning, and minor maintenance services to create a positive image and sense of pride for the Indigo Shire region.

• Location: Chiltern Depot
• Proposed commencement date: May 2025

About you

We are looking for individuals to join our Casual Parks Gardens Maintenace team based at the Chiltern Depot.

In this role you will:

Support landscaping and gardening tasks: mowing, planting, pruning, spraying, and weeding.

Help install and maintain park infrastructure: benches, bins, paths, drains, playgrounds, and irrigation systems.

Assist in cleaning urban areas including streets, footpaths, bus shelters, and car parks.

Perform minor repairs on street furniture, signs, and bollards.

Deliver, clean, and maintain garbage and recycling bins for events.

Support road maintenance and tree teams with field tasks.

Complete work following set standards and record activities appropriately.

Participate in emergency response tasks as required.

Carry out general administrative duties and other tasks as directed.
