About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Trainee Educator to join our team at Discover Early Learning in Kelmscott, WA. This part-time role will allow you to develop your skills and experience in the field of early childhood education, while working alongside our experienced educators to provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Assisting in the planning and implementation of engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities for children aged 0-5 years

Providing a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child

Collaborating with the broader team to ensure the smooth operation of the childcare centre

Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements

Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

A willingness to learn and a passion for working with young children

Commitment to undertaking childcare training and enrolling to complete your certificate III

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

A commitment to upholding the principles of inclusive practice and supporting the diverse needs of all children

A valid Working with Children Check and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain these)
