About Forte Family Lawyers
We are a team of 20 family lawyers, including 5 partners all of whom are highly regarded accredited family law specialists. We act for private clients in a range of family law areas. Our clients are local, interstate and international.

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in:
Building relationships with clients
Managing service delivery to clients
Supporting our family law practice
Ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities
This is a unique opportunity to work in a stimulating and rewarding environment, where you can make a real difference in the lives of the individuals that we represent.
You will have:
Ideally you will have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in a family law practice or litigation practice together with strong interpersonal, organisational, attention to detail, accurate typing, and computer skills.
Part-time law students seeking a full-time role are welcome to apply.
Experience with MS 365 Applications, Lexis Nexis Affinity, a document management system (eg. NetDocuments), PEXA and emPower precedents will be highly regarded.
A typical day will include:
Liaising with clients, lawyers and colleagues
Diary and task management
Telephone enquiries, including new client enquiries and some relief reception
Typing, editing and proof-reading correspondence (including dictation, lengthy documents and tracked changes), Court documents and publications
Invoicing
Additional administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of a busy and high-profile family law practice
Requirements for the role:
Strong organisational and time management skills.
High attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with family law processes and procedures is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work independently and also as part of team.
Prior experience in a similar legal environment is essential.
