In this newly created role, you’ll lead the charge in building our Australian compliance function from the ground up. You’ll bring deep expertise in Australian tax and compliance, alongside a passion for helping high-growth businesses thrive. Your Role & Responsibilities
Client Compliance Leadership
Own and lead the delivery of compliance services to our growing Australian client base.
Review client files, prepare information requests, and maintain well-organised and accurate records.
Prepare and review special purpose financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Ensure all notes and resolutions are complete, reconciled, and fully compliant.
Tax Compliance and Advisory
Manage Australian Income Tax, BAS, PAYG, Superannuation lodgements, FBT, and state
payroll tax filings
Stay ahead of legislative changes and ensure clients remain compliant at all times.
Use data analytics to uncover insights and guide client decision-making.
Partner with clients during regulatory reviews, disclosures, and investigations.
Strategic Compliance Design & Implementation
Collaborate internally to ensure tax is considered in broader business decisions.
Design and implement scalable, effective tax and compliance processes.
Develop training materials and policies for internal teams as we scale.
Provide strategic tax advice to optimise client outcomes and fuel business growth.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of experience in Australian compliance.
Registered Tax and BAS Agent with strong experience in client advisory and delivery.
CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience preparing and reviewing special purpose financial statements.
Skilled in tax research and interpreting legislation to provide strategic insights.
Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills.
Able to work autonomously and build new processes from scratch.
Experience with Xero + XPM is essential.
Bonus: Experience in start-ups or tech, ESOP knowledge, or a desire to learn.
