About us

We are currently two shops on the Gold Coast - Southport and Tweed Heads, this role will be focused at Southport and may occasionally work in Tweed Heads. We specialise in Weber BBQ's, Weber Charcoal Grills, Smokers. We sell the entire Yeti range and we sell a huge range of wood and gas flame heaters/fires and electric fireplaces. We focus on having great customer service and backing up the products we sell. We do this by ensuring our staff are given time to learn our sales systems and most importantly learn all about our products, a number of our suppliers have excellent online training systems to make it easy! Our range is constantly evolving so we take the time to get it right (we also do some cool grilling and low and slow BBQ as part of our every day work environment). If it suits us and the candidate we may upgrade this role to Permanent Part Time after some time working in the role.

Qualifications & experience

Previous practical experience in a retail setting is an advantage.

Experience with BBQs and heating is a bonus.

Drivers licence - LR licence would be an advantage.

Trade ticket or degree viewed favourably but certainly not mandatory.

Tasks & responsibilities

Work effectively in a great team environment in shops that carry the best Barbecue and Heating brands. You will be expected to provide a high standard of individual customer service ensuring customers will be keen to come back to us.

With training, work effectively in our Point Of Sale system - Retail Express, completing sales and emailing out quotes to customers as well as use the full microsoft suite of programs in your daily activities.

Undertake training to become a BBQ legend - this way you can provide tips and great customer service (and enjoy some great flavours!).

Work in both the show room and the warehouse of the business, all staff learn whats required so you get some great diversity in your work, its always interesting.

We work as a team to ensure we have clean and tidy showrooms - we want our customers to be impressed and feel like they are in an outstanding retail space.

Work safely and responsibly - we like to take care of each other and make sure we all go home safely at the end of the day!

There are some unique training programs available in our Weber Store - these are formally certified by Weber and provide a great range of training in both Weber products as well as retail sales techniques.

There is also formal training for the Yeti product range.

Learning unique skills associated with fireplaces and flueing will make you a genuine specialist!
