Are you an experienced civil professional ready to take the lead? We're seeking a dynamic and proactive Leading Hand with solid civil experience, to oversee operations and drive success across our civil construction projects.

About the Role:

The Leading Hand is at the heart of our on-site operations, coordinating tasks, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with supervisors, manage resources efficiently, and maintain our commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the go-to person for team members and project supervisors, ensuring clear communication and smooth workflow.

Oversee daily construction operations to meet quality benchmarks and project specifications.

Train, mentor, and supervise workers while fostering skill development and teamwork.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental controls, and project requirements.

Manage resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency.

Provide updates and collaborate closely with Construction and Project Managers.

Identify and resolve on-site challenges, maintaining progress and delivering results.

What We're Looking For:

Civil experience a must.

Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction or a related qualification (desirable).

A current Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Several years of hands-on experience in civil construction, particularly in infrastructure projects like earthworks, roadworks, or pavement construction.

Proven ability to supervise teams, coordinate tasks, and manage resources effectively.

Solid understanding of construction methods, equipment, and materials.

Familiarity with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and quality assurance standards.

Licenses or certifications for specific machinery or equipment operation.

First Aid Certificate (desirable).

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
