About the Role

Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a leadership opportunity? As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within a multidisciplinary team across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Your expertise will contribute to improved clinical outcomes across major healthcare sites, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and community-based services. In addition to providing specialised clinical care, you will be actively involved in education, quality improvement, and service planning initiatives that enhance patient care and professional practice.

In this role, you will lead and supervise a team of Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery aligned with best practices. You will collaborate with clinical leaders to drive research, innovation, and service improvements while holding a specialised portfolio within CALHN Occupational Therapy. As a mentor and educator, you will support the professional growth of emerging therapists and students, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to multidisciplinary teams. To excel in this role, you will have:

Qualifications & Experience – A degree in Occupational Therapy, current registration (or eligibility) with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and at least five years of clinical experience in acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, or community-based settings.

Clinical Expertise – Proven ability to assess and provide high-quality OT interventions for clients with complex health conditions, including neurological and orthopaedic cases, with a strong focus on hospital avoidance and community engagement.

Skills & Leadership – Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage complex clinical situations, resolve conflicts, and provide professional supervision.

Knowledge & Innovation – A thorough understanding of best practices, OT methodologies, and relevant legislation, with a commitment to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
