About The Role:
- An exciting opportunity is now open for a Registered Midwife to join our forward-thinking and highly reputable maternity team, where every day we strive for excellence.
- This is a full time, rotating roster with flexible working arrangements and 1:4 patient ratios, that empowers you to bring your flare for life to work.
- As part of our award-winning maternity department, you'll be at the heart of providing exceptional Birth Suite and Postnatal care, working alongside an inspiring, collaborative team of midwives, lactation consultants, mothercraft nurses, and dedicated Allied Health professionals.
About You:
Essential:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
- Minimum two years' relevant post registration qualifications/experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in the postnatal midwifery setting.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient-centred care.
- Demonstrated professional manner when involved in emergency situations.
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience in antenatal midwifery setting.
- Experience in Private Health Care.
- IBCLC (Lactation) certificate, working toward or desire to complete.
- Willingness to be involved in quality projects to continuously improve the care we deliver.

About The Mater:
In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.
- One of Sydney's premier private hospitals.
- Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
- The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
- Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
