Kimberley Care Group is currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Aged or Disability Support Workers to join our team in Geraldton to support NDIS participants in our SIL house and out in the community.
Position: Disabled Care Worker
Location: Geraldton, Mid-West WA
Salary/hourly wage: highly competitive and the market leader for care staff remuneration in the Mid-West (something we’re very proud of).

Responsibilities:
Provide personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities in our SIL (Supported Independent Living) home (has an ocean view, by the way!)
Provide services such as support to access the community on a daily basis, as well as supporting NDIS participants to travel home (if their true home is not Geraldton)
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance
Administer medications and assist with medical appointments as required
Foster meaningful social interactions and companionship with clients
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients
Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided
Helping people to set and achieve goals
Providing transport, attending appointments and advocating on behalf of NDIS participants and Aged Care clients
Arranging social activities and assisting with household tasks and activities like cleaning, meals and showering.
Coordinating and implementing individual care plans in accordance with NDIS and Aged Care guidelines.
Requirements:
Necessary: Access to a reliable vehicle
Necessary: NDIS Screening Check
Necessary: First Aid Certificate
Preferred: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Care, or relevant qualification
Preferred: Previous experience in aged care or disability support
Preferred: Flexible to commit to weekend, public holiday and evening/night shifts (for SIL supports)
Necessary: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Necessary: Compassionate and patient demeanour
Necessary: Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Necessary: Willingness to undergo relevant background checks and obtain necessary clearances
