Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established organizations, my client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team. This is a permanent full time opportunity based in Chatswood NSW 2067.
The Accounts Receivable Officer is a junior position, providing essential support to the accounts receivable function - responsible for assisting with the efficient management of outstanding debts, maintaining accurate customer records, and performing various administrative tasks to support the broader finance team. Training and guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a nurturing CFO, you must have at least 1 year of experience across accounting/debt collection duty.
- Debtor Management:
- Assist in the timely and effective chasing of outstanding invoices/debtors via phone, email, and other appropriate methods.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication and follow-up actions with debtors.
- Escalate overdue accounts to the Senior AR as required.
- Assist in the resolution of debtor queries and discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable Processing:
- Assist in the creation of new debtor accounts in the finance system with accuracy and efficiency alongside dealing with contracts
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial information.
- Upload maintenance contracts and related documentation to the existing system.
- Assist with the uploading of data from external systems into the finance system.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with the preparation of reports and reconciliations as required.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems (both physical and electronic).
- Provide general administrative support to the accounts team as needed.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
- Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
- This is a junior role so minimum 1 year work experience
- Demonstrated experience within debt collection
- Experience in Accounting ERP system - Sage Intacct is highly desirable but not essential
- Great computer skills
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Detailed oriented and enthusiastic alongside eager to learn as training will be provided
Benefits
- Permanent full time position
- $65,000 - $70,000 + Super
- 2 days work from home once training is completed
- Close to public transportation and onsite parking provided on first come first serve basis
