Workfast is looking for a Manufacturing Operator Ceramics - Mining for a valued client based in Welshpool, WA.

What you get:

• $35.00 - $38.00 base + penalties and based on experience
• Monday - Friday, 5am - 1pm
• Immediate Start
• Ongoing - Temp to Perm after 6 months for the right candidate
• Overtime available during the week and on Saturdays

What you need:

• 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Welding experience is preferred
• Experience is 5S and Lean Manufacturing
• Forklift Licence (desirable)
• Strong interpersonal, training and communication skills, both verbal and written - including negotiation
• Lateral thinking, problem solving and advanced analytical thinking skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks through scheduling and resolve conflicts.

What you will be doing:

• Conducting all duties pertaining to the manufacture of Ceramic wear liners.
• Achieving the companies K.P.I.’s through manufacturing excellence, 5S, safety, quality, planning and inspection in conjunction with leadership and training of relevant manufacturing team members.
• Ensuring efficient operation of production, of flow of product and
  associated materials in accordance with the schedules.
• Following processes, procedures and inspections in accordance with best practice, lean manufacturing, process specifications, I.T.P.’s and
  companies Q.A. system.
• Maintaining safe working practices with particular emphasis on those
  working within the relevant manufacturing or processing area.
• Reports to the appropriate person at all times regarding product
  variances and other reportable issues.
• Applies quality, safety and environmental principles in your day-to-day
  work activities in accordance with the company’s Integrated
  Management System (IMS).
