About the role

Fortitude Supports' is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in and around Logan, Queensland. This is a casual position that will see you providing essential support and assistance to individuals living with mental health challenges in our local community.

What you'll be doing

Providing one-on-one support and guidance to clients to help them manage their mental health and work towards their personal goals

Collaborating with clients to develop tailored care plans and regularly reviewing their progress

Accompanying clients to appointments and activities, offering emotional support and encouragement

Assisting clients with daily living tasks and skills development as needed

Maintaining detailed client records and contributing to team discussions about client care

Advocating for clients' rights and connecting them with additional support services in the community

What we're looking for

A Certificate in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field

Previous experience working in mental health, disability, or community support roles however for the right candidate with the right attitude can be considered.

A strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with mental health conditions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach

The flexibility to work a casual schedule, including some evenings and weekends
