About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Services Manager to join our Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine. This role is pivotal in providing high-level operational advice and support to the Faculty Business Director and senior staff, ensuring effective resource management, service delivery, and governance across our five locations. You will:
Lead and mentor a team across financial services, HR, executive support, and office operations.
Drive business improvement projects that streamline services and improve outcomes.
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
Manage contracts, agreements, and compliance with a keen eye for detail and quality.
Implement operational plans that align with Faculty goals and university-wide strategies.
Implement and manage Faculty strategic and operational plans.
About the Person
We are seeking someone who’s not just experienced, but strategic, proactive, and people-focused — someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and leads with confidence.
Essential Criteria:
A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience of at least 5 years in a senior operational or administrative role.
Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams across multiple sites.
Strong financial acumen and experience with HR and service contract management.
Change management and process improvement skills with a results-driven mindset.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
Qualifications in business, finance, or related disciplines.
Experience in higher education or healthcare environments.
Knowledge of Agile or LEAN methodologies.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Automate.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $109,525.60 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
