St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed rehabilitation hospital focused on supporting patients to regain independence and improving their quality of life by offering specialist neurological, cardiac, orthopaedic, movement disorder (including Parkinson's disease) and reconditioning programs to patients from across the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne areas.
Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
We are looking for Grade 1/Grade 2 Physiotherapist for our Exercise Rehabilitation Unit.
The Grade 1 Physiotherapist works alongside the Multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical physiotherapy to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills.
The Grade 2 Physiotherapist is expected to work independently and demonstrate a depth of experience. The Grade 2 Physiotherapist is expected to initiate and participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities, to supervise students and supervise and mentor junior caregivers.
The Position
Provide high quality evidence based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments where applicable.
Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with multi-disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers including active participation in the multidisciplinary team meetings
Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of Patient feedback satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities
Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.
Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.
Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required.
Accepts responsibility for maintaining and strengthening own professional knowledge and expertise. Maintenance of own continuing professional development portfolio as required
Promote a positive safety culture within their areas by demonstrating a positive commitment to OHS.
You will hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist and demonstrate experience within a healthcare and disability services setting. A Grade 2 Physiotherapist will demonstrate senior clinical experience and leadership skills.
To succeed in this multi-disciplinary team, you will have recent experience in Physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments.

We can offer you
Salary Grade 1: $43.38 to $59.98 per hour (casual loading included) plus 11.5% superannuation
Salary Grade 2: $58.42 to $69.87 per hour (casual loading included) plus 11.5% superannuation
