The Role

We are looking for a casual team member to join our busy site at Portland Mitre 10. As a Trade Team Member, you will be the face of the business to our trade customers & supporting the Trade Team which requires a fit and able person to undertake heavy lifting. Also required is the ability to work within a team environment but equally to work alone effectively.

This role would be suited to someone who likes to remain busy and always wanting to tackle different jobs each day. This person would also come to work with a close-knit team who are good at what they do!

Responsibilities include:

Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.

Maintain equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition in accordance with recommended operating practices including completion of the daily pre–start safety check.

Prioritising customer requests.

Process customer credits & carry out stock refill.

Build relationships with customers and to identify their needs.

Requires skills and attributes:

Strong understanding of WHS requirements

Proficient reading, writing and arithmetic skills

White card

Ability to multitask

Forklift licence (highly desired)

Experience working with trade items (highly desired)

Building knowledge highly desirable
