Federal Government Agency seeking Client-Side Project Manager to join Capital Works team

Hays is excited to be working with one of the Federal Government's key cultural institutions that play a vital part of the Australian cultural landscape. The Capital Works team is currently seeking a Client-side Project Manager to join the team.

Your new role

The (level 6) Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager supporting the delivery of key capital works projects to a high standard. Responsibilities include:

• Support delivery of complex projects through project delivery stage through to financial completion, ensuring adherence to time, budget and scope targets.
• Assisting in contractor management, stakeholder management, budget management, reporting and project implementation.
• Provide Inductions on-site
• Prepare progress claims
• Support risk assessments including contingency management and risk mitigation
• Coordinate regular project reporting, draft business cases
• Escort visitors/contractors when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of capital works project management
• An understanding of government procurement and budget processes is an advantage.
• As the current project is in the delivery phase, you will need to be able to work on site for 5 days for the duration of this particular project.
• Relevant Construction industry qualifications and tickets
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities whilst having high attention to detail

• Level 6 Salary starts from Circa $90k + 15.4 % superannuation
