YIF offer our clients a complete mining solution by providing clearing, topsoil stripping, load, haul and rehabilitation services.

YIF are seeking HV Fitters to provide onsite technical maintenance and repairs on all traditional mining equipment including Liebherr, Hitachi & specialising in a fleet of Caterpillar 794F Haul trucks.

Be part of a busy and diverse team whilst gaining and developing your experience and knowledge on all surface mining equipment and systems. You will be conducting diagnosis, scheduled maintenance, shutdowns, planned and unplanned component change outs, attending breakdowns and much more.

These permanent roles are site based, working in a team environment providing support on a variety of surface mining equipment in particular our fleet of Caterpillar 794F Haul trucks.

Roster: Flexible rosters available– 12-hour shifts

Essential Criteria

• A Mechanical HV Trade Certificate and proven post trade experience with CAT equipment
• Relevant Auto Electrician trade qualification with advanced diagnostic skills
• A range of experience across shovels, diggers, ancillary & traditional surface mining equipment

Previous experience of maintenance and repairs on electric drive mining equipment.

• A positive attitude towards safety and exposure to safe work practices and systems
• Excellent team values with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.
• A passion for learning new skills.
• The ability to work safely and successfully within a team and autonomously.

Desirable Criteria

• Current Forklift Licence
• Elevated Work Platform
• Dogging & Basic Rigging
• Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
• CAT 794F Or Electric Drive truck experience
