About the role
SA Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join the Medical Imaging Department. Reporting to the Office Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality reception, registration, and appointment services, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for patients and staff. Your day-to-day work will support a busy clinical environment where your organisational skills and customer service will be highly valued.
This diverse role also includes a range of administrative tasks such as coordinating inpatient workflow, entering patient data into multiple systems (including OACIS), maintaining radiological archives, and managing procedure costs through the financial database and HPOS. You'll liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clinical staff, external agencies, and patients, while also supporting colleagues through training and professional development. Strong typing and reception skills are essential, along with a proactive and collaborative approach to your work.
About You
You’re an organised and proactive administrative professional who thrives in a busy healthcare environment. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong keyboard and PC-based word processing skills, with experience using multiple computer applications and excellent written and verbal communication
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with positive interpersonal skills to engage with patients, visitors, and clinical staff
Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality, with experience in a hospital or medical imaging setting highly regarded
