As the Principal Goverance officer you will be responsible for integrated programs of work in relation to fraud control, such as leading policy development and maintenance, preparing reports and performance dashboards, facilitating fraud risk workshops, managing continuous improvement projects, and providing professional support, training, and expert advice.

What you'll do

You will Manage the departmental fraud control program, policy, and governance enhancement initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders to support performance and governance outcomes. You will also be responsible for analysing data and strategic patterns, preparing reports and providing expert advice, including to senior leaders and committees, on development and timely implementation of strategies and policies to improve corporate governance, including fraud risk management and fraud prevention, detection, and response practices.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Strong collaborative stakeholder engagement and communication skills and demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence outcomes diplomatically.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability, including ability to lead a program of work, manage projects and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and ability to identify opportunities to achieve integration and improvements in fraud control and governance, risk management and corporate efficiency.
  • Demonstrated skills in preparing well-written communications
  • Ability to collate and analyse data, and present reports and dashboards and use software to advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
