Our client is a name synonymous with one of the most forward thinking research bodies there is across Australasia.

They are on the hunt for a Team Lead for their small (but mighty) Software Development team.

This role seeks an experienced People Leader who comes from a .Net Development background.

Our client is seeking a Team Lead who is genuinely passionate about leading people through mentoring, coaching and day-to-day staff management, while still able to roll up their sleeves and code when required.

As one of the best employers to work for, they are seeking candidates for this role who demonstrate fairness, empathy and empotional maturity to provide calm, stable leadership.

To be considered, we seek:

Technically:

• A background in .Net development and experience in leading Development efforts across both web-enabled and desktop applications.
• An expert in multiple core programming languages especially C# and JavaScript (being a Microsoft environment) and also experienced in working across various RDBMS.

As a leader:

• Proven experience leading quality software development practices/ teams; with a true understanding of engaging with, and getting the best out of, software developers in your team.
• Experience in driving leadership practices, from coaching, mentoring, inducting; to performance reviews, etc.
• Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
• Most of all, you know what good culture looks like and you are relentless about ensuring that this is the reality for your team always.
