About us:

Emerald Hospital is situated approximately 300 kilometres west of the Queensland coastline, serving a regional community of around 28,000 people, including 15,000 residents in Emerald itself. Within a 100-kilometre radius, there are two smaller hospitals located in Blackwater and Springsure.

This 36-bed facility features two operating theatres and a dedicated team of approximately 160 staff who provide a broad range of services spanning acute, community, and primary care. Each year, Emerald Hospital supports the delivery of 300 to 400 babies.

About the role:

We are currently seeking an Associate Clinical Nurse Consultant (A/CNC) – Clinical Flow Coordinator to join the team at Emerald Hospital. This pivotal role is responsible for providing oversight, leadership, effective communication, and coordination of nursing and midwifery services across the emergency department, inpatient units, and other nursing areas during each shift. The Clinical Flow Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care throughout the facility.

About you:
  • Mandatory qualification/s and professional registration requirements with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). A minimum of Registered Nurse or Dual Registered Midwife.
  • While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification would be well regarded.
  • This position may be required to participate in other duties as required by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Unit Manager due to changing organisational/service delivery environments.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of $131,170 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate of $61.20 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
