Who we are
Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA) is a specialist domestic, family and sexual violence service that operates on a feminist framework. We work to respond and prevent gendered violence in Central Australia by providing safe accommodation and support services for women and children who are experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence. Our Vision is for all women and children to live with greater safety, respect and dignity, free from violence, in their chosen community.
WOSSCA has a number of positions available and is seeking applicants who are passionate about helping women experiencing gendered violence.

The successful applicants will provide advice to the WoSSCA Leadership Team and our staff on strategic and operational matters related to providing culturally appropriate domestic and family violence services.
Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and family violence and the issues that may impact upon service delivery
2. Previous experience and a demonstrated ability to represent an Aboriginal perspective in strategic and operational forums
3. Demonstrated possession of effective oral and written communication skills in a cross-cultural environment
4. Previous experience in using your initiative, problem solving and consultation skills to review and develop strategies for service improvement and effectively manage change processes
5. Proven ability to develop and deliver information about cultural knowledge and competency, particularly in a case management and/or crisis intervention context
6. Proven ability in consultation, networking and negotiation skills and the ability to initiate feedback to peers in consultation with the relevant team manager or the CEO
7. Demonstrated capacity to maintain client confidentiality
8. Ability to work both autonomously and in the context of a team
9. Ability to adhere to all WoSSCA policy and procedures as well as working in accordance to the ethics, mission and vision of WoSSCA
