The Role: Youth Adviser (YA) - As an YA at TURSA, you'll engage with at-risk young people between the ages of 15 to 24, helping them transition to education and/or employment.
This role will be based at our Woodridge site and is a permanent full-time position. Though this role is advertised for full-time, if you are the right candidate, we may consider part-time positions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Stakeholder engagement across Woodridge, Capalaba and Beenleigh sites
- Working with at-risk young people, providing individually tailored vocational and non-vocational support
- Aid in the preparation of resumes, job applications and interview preparation
- Build sustainable and long-term relationships with employers whilst sourcing opportunities for employment outcomes
- Providing on-going support, monitoring and mentoring after employment / education has commenced
- May require some irregular travel in the local area

What we need from you:
- Ability to build professional relationships with employers and participants
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Confidence in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Highly organised with strong administration skills
- Resilient & empathetic towards others
Although previous experience in Employment Services is an advantage, it is not essential.
