Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator looking to contribute to the success of research projects? We’re seeking a proactive and collaborative individual to join our Research Division as a Research Administration Officer.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated research administration professional to join the Centre’s and Institutes Research Administration (CIRA) team located in Rockhampton. CQUniversity’s CIRA team provides administrative support to research projects led by World Class researchers spanning over ten of the eleven University’s Research Institutes and Research Centres,
The Research Division oversees and manages CQUniversity’s research activities to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. The mission of the Research Division is to support and strengthen a research environment across CQUniversity that inspires staff and students to develop and grow their research portfolio and exceed research performance expectations.
In this high-performing and varied role, you will provide high-level administrative support. From supporting Directors with management of the Research Centres and Institutes to supporting research projects that are aligned to the Institutes and Centres by organising travel, assisting with financial processes, and assisting with recruitment. You will also provide consistent interpretation and application of the University's research administration policies and procedures

Position Requirements
Proficient in the operation of computers including detailed knowledge of business support software (Word/Excel/large corporate databases etc) and University specific software.
Proven communication skills including interpersonal and written communication with the ability to draft accurate documents including reports, memorandums, letters and email correspondence.
Proven ability to organise work, meet deadlines and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
Proven experience undertaking financial processes, monitoring and tracking budgets, organising purchasing/travel and undertaking HR related processes.
Proven ability to provide secretarial support to committees.
